Sun is the load most often underestimated

On the north Pacific coast, radiation is the first variable to degrade a roof. The panel is tested under ASTM G155 to 6,000 hours of UV exposure, roughly 12 years of harsh sun, and the 20-year warranty expressly covers sudden colour loss. That is the figure worth taking into the client conversation, because visual deterioration shows long before any functional failure.

Salt: the material is not the problem, the fasteners are

The panel is an engineered polymer: it does not rot, does not grow mold and offers no organic material for salt spray to attack. Where specification does need care is the supporting structure and the fasteners, the exposed metal parts of the system. That detail is resolved as on any coastal build and is independent of the roof covering.

Wind and season

The system is certified for 160 mph winds. That certification assumes the full fastening pattern — 7 nails per panel — and the 18° minimum slope: coastal work is the last place to relax the nailing detail to save time.

Phasing and colour matching

Coastal projects are usually built in phases. Declare it from the first quote: we coordinate custom colour matching across production lots and hold regional stock, so phase three does not arrive in a different tone from phase one.
